I know this is totally against wedding tradition but these are some really great pro’s to seeing the bride before the ceremony!

Enjoy a moment alone together: Think about it, when you get to the end of the aisle you cant talk, you can barely touch, and you can’t kiss till the end! This way you can have a moment alone together and you can talk, kiss, cry and have special moment to yourselves before your wedding. This also makes for some really cute pictures!

Photos: Not only will this make a cute photo opportunity but you can get all your family and and bridal party pictures done pre ceremony so you can get to your after party sooner!

You can still the get the aisle experience: You may think that seeing the bride before the ceremony will take away from that moment when you walk down the aisle, but it won’t! You’re about it get married, and thats huge!! You’re walking down as a single person and coming back as a couple, the moment is still there!

These are really a fun, creative idea to let your family and friends know you’re engaged! It’s also great for those guests who will be coming from out of town to plan their trip early.

Here are a few ideas for you’re save the dates!

• Send out custom magnets for their fridge!
• A simple post card with your engagement picture on it.
• Take a fun photo-booth picture (yes, these are still around at your local mall) holding signs that say “Save The Date” in each frame.
• Seek out a flip-book vendor to send out books that guests get to “flip” to see your love message.
• Send out a Save The Date DVD that you customize with your filmmaker – so personal and adorable!
• Or even a quick fun email will do the trick!

Or whatever it is you do for you’re save the date, make it fun so your guest have something to look forward too!

We’ve been asked recently about proper usher requirements, so we thought we’d share with the masses…

Proper Wedding Usher Instruction

• Ushers should be waiting at the door, as soon as someone signs the guest book he should extend his right arm for the lady and ask if she will be sitting on the bride or grooms side, if not using open seating.
• If there is more than one woman, you should escort the oldest woman down the aisle.
• Front sections are reserved for immediate family.
• Seat anyone who comes in late towards the back.
• Seat everyone except the parents of the bride and groom and grandparents or any special family members that may be escorted during the processional.
• When you get the signal that everyone is ready, seat the groom’s parents on the front right. Then seat the mother of the bride on the front left.

After the wedding

• After all the wedding party has exited (the minister will be last), two ushers should walk together up to the front, and stop immediately in front of where the parents of the bride and groom are seated. They should both turn toward the outside of the building and face toward the back. The usher beside the bride’s mother should extend his arm to her, and escort her out.
• After the bride’s mother has gone a suitable distance (at least half of the length of the aisle), the remaining usher should extend his arm to the groom’s mother, then escort the groom’s parents out.
• Both ushers should now return together to the front and usher out the grandparents in the same fashion as the parents were escorted out.

Tips on writing your own vows!!

1. Get Clearance! Make sure you talk with your officiate will accept personalized vows.

2. Make a Plan! Talk with your fiancé and make sure you guys are on the same page! Fine out if you will write them together or separately and if you will show them to each other before the ceremony.

3.  Create an Outline! Establish a structure that you will both stick to.

4. Cut it Down! Pick a length you will both stick to as well.

Thinking about a destination wedding? Here are a few things to help make your destination wedding fabulous!

• Hire a wedding coordinator! This is someone that you could really use especially for a destination wedding. They will help with selecting vendors, hotels, and even getting your guests to and from the airport!
• Take trip to do some scouting for your venues, florist and such. This will help make things go a lot smoother than having to go by just a picture.
• If you can’t make a trip make sure you ask for references from your vendors!
• Tell your friends! Forewarn the friends that you plan on having stand by your side about the wedding so you know if you have to choose someone else.
• Welcome your guest! Make sure your guests feel appreciated for taking this time to be at your wedding. Gift baskets with snacks, and things they could use on the trip will show them how much it means to you that they are there!
